Heritage

We have an in-depth understanding of the separate requirements for this specialist sector of cost consultancy. These projects are unique and cannot be categorised; specialist knowledge of the construction history of such buildings is essential. Over many years we have built up and developed cost management techniques and systems specifically attuned to these works.

We have successfully adopted a ‘risk-management’ approach in preparing detailed budget estimates for our clients. Cost monitoring and control during the on-site stage of these projects is also fundamental to achieving financial success for the project.  We aim to achieve a defined level of cost certainty for our client (pre-contract) in order to assist in the successful (and sometimes intensive) post-contract monitoring and cost control of the works.

Our understanding of traditional crafts, modern conservation techniques together with the ability to provide sound financial advice to all the parties involved in these schemes make us one of only a small number of Quantity Surveying firms in the UK able to offer this specialist service.
